The
Inglewood Bird Sanctuary and Nature Centre is tucked away minutes away from Calgary city centre.
Inside the Nature Centre is a large mural of native animals and some stuffed specimens.

The sanctuary has walking trails so that people can walk amongst the wildlife without being too disruptive.
We could hear the birds around us, but those we could see were generally too far to photograph.

There was a commotion on the trail -- we were in luck! There was a deer!

Right: Two
mallard ducks on the water's edge.
It's so sweet that they always seem to be in pairs.

There were some really serious photographers here with expensive looking equipment.
Paul promised he'll never get to this point (but if he hid in it, I probably wouldn't even be able to tell...).

The Canada Geese here were also fearless.

This particular one proved to be a very good model, but I wasn't interested in taking pictures of it (the goslings have spoiled me), until it did this yogaesque move.

Minoan bird skewers should be banned.
