2010 Office Olympics

Monday - Table Hockey and Hula Hoop

Crowds gathered for the Table Hockey in the mainboard room.

Meanwhile, in the hallway and reception area, the Hula Hoopers warmed up.

Andrew innovated with the neck hula technique.

Julainne used it to get to the Gold medal round.

Kelly used it to win the Bronze.

But in the end, my traditional technique and I won gold!

(Though I'm sure if Beth and Paul were here they'd be the top contenders.)

Things were still hot in the Boardroom - It was Team Black against Team Green for the Gold medal game:

Team Black took the Gold.  Then we went back to work.

Tuesday - Curling

An even larger crowd packs into the board room for curling.

Lorena said she could hear the cheering in her office.  But it was definitely quiet when the curlers were concentrating on their throws.

In the end, team Green won the top prize.

Wednesday - Pictionary

Thursday - Biathlon

Race down the hallway (around the corner) with a stress ball between your knees - then shoot the target. But you also need to return back to the finish line (ball between knees again) to hand over the ball to your teammate to do it all over again.

What started off as shuffling down the hallway (and what I had envisioned), turned into frenzied bouncing!

People shaved all seconds upon seconds off their time... but still they had to hit the target.  Hearts raced, and there was a lot of cheering.  Only 3 seconds separated Silver (Team Black) and Bronze (Team Green), but Team Yellow was clearly the winner.

Friday - Scavenger Hunt

So much stuff!  From sports equipment to Canadian Tire money.  From current year mascots to past Olympic souveniers.  Two teams even managed real curling rocks.
