Steampunk Monster Ball

The Official Edmonton Steampunk Group's Steampunk Monsters Ball at the TransAlta Arts Barn.

Inside the dance hall:

Out in the tea room:

Back in the dance hall:

Live band Punch Drunk Cabaret.

The individual costume contestants lined up.

And one-by-one walked on stage to introduce themselves (and their costumes)

(Above: Our lovely avian friend used sheets of foam to create feathers. / Left: Banshee lovingly looks at Parisian Opera Singer Vampire Hunter / Below: Erik tells his tale as Huggy)

(Right: Plague Doctor is ready to operate on you next -- meet him in the back alley.)

In the couples category Pepe la Pew presented his lovely bride, who he handmade.

Meanwhile, this tomb raider brought back this lovely demon.

The Queen of Hearts appeared with Cheshire Cat.

And Morticia and Gomez Addams performed an impressive wheelchair tango.

Meanwhile this band of exotic assassins made sure they were the only entry in the group category.

Next up, the biggest moustache category:

Followed by biggest bustle (SKIRT GIRTH!)- measured either as "a bow" or "a curtsy".

Finalists of the individual and couples categories were called up for one more song and dance.  Unfortunately "I'm a little teapot" was no match for our Opera Singer's aria. She won the main prize and a marriage proposal.
